This stunning gorilla stands at 20cm high.

The sculpture was printed and finished in mica, resin and alcohol inks here in the studio at Ssh...3d Art in Kempsey NSW.

The process begins by printing the 3d sculpture, sanding then polishing the piece with Raven Black mica, creating a rich shadowed base that enhances dimension and contrast.

A high-quality clear resin is then applied and left to settle, forming a flawless foundation.
layer by layer, snow white, blue, green, and purple alcohol inks are strategically introduced, allowing them to organically blend and flow across the surface. To elevate the effect, a colour-shift glitter is added, catching light from every angle.
The sculpture is then sealed with a second clear resin coat, locking in the design and delivering a glass-like, high-end finish.

This piece recieved a third resin layer so I could add a few more blue and teal colours making it look like the colours are floating.
Each piece is completely unique—no two sculptures will ever be the same. This is not mass production, but a handcrafted artwork made with care and intention.
